OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE MISSOURI GAMING ASSOCIATION
The Missouri Gaming Association applauds Attorney General Hanaway for her steadfast action to “enforce the law and protect our neighborhoods in every county” by “dismantling illegal gaming operations, ensuring they have no place in our communities.”
Missouri citizens, the federal court, law enforcement, municipalities across the state and numerous business associations have all given a resounding “no” to illegal Video Slot Machines.
The negative impact of these illegal devices has become crystal clear over the years as they proliferated unchecked. Legislators pushing to allow their continued illegal operation are seeking to protect the profits of a few when their obligation is to serve the best interests and will of constituents.
Attorney General Hanaway is making the right move by charging those who ignore the law. It is time to put a stop to illegal Video Slot Machines once and for all.
