Tax revenue from Missouri casinos have funded over $395 millions for the state’s Veterans Commission Trust Fund 

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Veterans and active military will be treated to free meals, discounts and other giveaways at Missouri casinos this Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11. Check with each casino for details, restrictions and the process to obtain and redeem vouchers, discounts and giveaways. Guests will need to present a military ID or VA card. 

Veterans Day giveaways, donations and promotions are just one of the many ways that Missouri casinos honor and support veterans throughout the state. Missouri casinos have sent more than $395 million in tax revenue to the state’s Veterans Commission Trust Fund since 1994. Missouri casinos and their team members also support veterans in their local communities by funding and volunteering at local organizations.

Casinos honoring their military guests in special ways this Veterans Day include: 

    • Argosy Casino & Hotel Kansas City in Riverside
      Through the PENN Heroes program, active-duty military, veterans and first responders receive exclusive discounts, promotions year round. On Veteran’s Day, between 1pm and 4pm, PENN Heroes and their companion may claim a special 22 oz American-made gift tumbler that is sourced from a veteran-owned business.     • Century Casino Cape Girardeau
      Veterans and active service members will receive $20 in Free Play from 8 AM to Midnight. Must be a Winners’ Zone member. Present your Military ID or VA card at the Winners’ Zone and receive your Free Play. Offer valid once.

CHARITABLE GIVING TO VETERANS ORGANIZATIONS

Missouri casinos also support veterans in their local communities by funding and volunteering at local organizations. Last year, charitable initiatives to support veterans included:

    • Isle of Capri Boonville Casino: As part of Caesars HERO efforts, team members placed wreaths at Mount Pleasant Cemetery through Wreaths Across America and donated to Howard County American Legion. Isle of Capri Boonville also is the local site coordinator for the Missouri Veterans History Project (MHVP). Team members volunteer their time to record and archive the stories of our local Veterans. In addition to the veteran receiving a copy of the recording, they are shared with The State Historical Society of Missouri and the U.S. Library of Congress.

    • Harrah’s Kansas City: Hosted the Survivor Outreach Services Families of Fallen Soldiers Dinner honoring families of those who died in service.

    • Ameristar Casino Resort Spa – St. Charles: The casino continued its tradition by delivering 50 Thanksgiving meals to local veterans Missouri Veterans Endeavor (MOVE).

    • Century Casino Cape Girardeau: Charitable donations included support for Cape Girardeau Veteran’s Home.

    • Century Casino Caruthersville: The casino supported numerous local charities last year, including to make the holiday season special for families of veterans and families in need through Wreaths Across America.

    • Ameristar Kansas City: Veterans Community Project was one of the organizations supported through Ameristar Kansas City’s $105,000 charitable donations.
